Internet Advancement
Internet advancement allows you to enter youth advancements, awards, and merit badges. Obtain your Pacifica District unit ID code from your District Executive, or Advancement Chairs Bob Harada or Maria Gunderson. Go to LAAC Internet Advancement
Units are requested to assign one adult to serve as the main point of contact to receive the counselor data file. You may request the data file from Ken King by email kennethking@earthlink.net.

ATTENTION: Youth members must request the list of Merit Badge counselors from their unit's adult leaders, specifically your Scoutmaster or your Troop's Advancement Chair.
Merit Badge Counselor Application
NOTE: Use the Pacifica District Merit Badge Counselor Application, not BSA form 34405.
The Merit Badge Counselor is a key player in the Boy Scout advancement program. Whatever your area of expertise or interest as a Merit Badge Counselor, you can play vital role in stirring a young man's curiosity about a particular topic.
On the Merit Badge Counselor Application, you may list up to six (6) Merit Badges. Include your email address if you wish to use it for Merit Badge counseling process.
Regarding the BSA Adult Application (Form No. 28-501), a new one is required for ALL Merit Badge Counselor applicants regardless of BSA position; your Social Security Number must be provided; be sure to sign the Disclosure/Authorization Form (facing page); and provide a copy of your Youth Protection Training certificate (within last 2 years).
